Cross Border Terminal Tijuana Airport

From 2015, the Cross Border Terminal or the Cross Border Xpress is available in Tijuana Airport, from where you can directly transfer from Tijuana Airport in Mexico to San Diego in the US across the Tijuana Cross Border Bridge. It is also known as Puerta de las Californias.

It is considered the first binational airport terminal in the world, given that the terminal is physically located in the US and serves Tijuana Airport.

You can use the Tijuana Cross Border Bridge by paying the following fares: One-way: USD$ 16.00, Round trip: USD$ 30.00, Family: USD$ 55.00.

In order to use this service, aside of the ticket, you should be in possession of an airline boarding pass.

Transfer between terminals

Terminals are connected through pedestrian walkways, so you can connect to the main terminal to Cross Border terminal easily.

Levels

Tijuana Airport Cross Border Terminal is composed by the following facilities, since as being a binational terminal, it has different services and amenities for passengers in each side:

The passenger terminal in the US side just serves as a check-in and processing facility for both departing and arriving passengers. On the other hand, the Otay Mesa terminal has its own facilities such as US customs and immigration, parking, check-in desks, customs… Excluding boarding gates and arrival facilities.

Regarding the Mexican side, you can find there the Mexican immigration and customs. From the baggage claim area you can access to the Cross Border Terminal ticket counters.
